Meet the Counselors


Mrs. Kendra Arevalo

Hello! My name is Kendra Arevalo, and I am the School Counselor for Dora Romero Elementary. I graduated from Texas State University with a Bachelor’s degree in Interdisciplinary Studies and continued my education at Lamar University where I obtained a Master’s degree in School Counseling . I have 13 years of experience in education, ranging from a 4th grade elementary teacher, middle school writing teacher, elementary coding lab teacher and a School Counselor. I look forward to working with all students, staff and family members this school year!

Mrs. Claudia Gonzalez-Rivera

I am thrilled to be your early childhood education School Counselor at Dora Romero Elementary and Los Fresnos Elementary.  I graduated from the University of Texas at Brownsville with a bachelor’s degree in Biology and continued my education at the University  of Texas at Rio Grande Valley where I obtained a Master’s degree in School Counseling . I have 13 years of experience in education  ranging from grades 9-12 science high school teacher, science department head, strand leader and a school counselor. I feel very blessed to be part of Los Fresnos family and I look forward to provide support for all students, staff and parents.
