National Inclusive Schools Week

Location: Since its inception in 2001, Inclusive Schools Week has celebrated the progress that schools have made in providing a supportive and quality education to an increasingly diverse student population, including students who are marginalized due to disability, gender, socio-economic status, cultural heritage, language preference, and other factors.

Principal’s Message

Dora Romero Elementary School is located just off FM 803 in the Brownsville city limits.

Dora Romero Elementary was built in 2010 and is the newest elementary school in the district. No additions have been made to the campus.

DRE houses about 520 students in grades Pre-Kindergarten through 5 and is a feeder to Resaca Middle School. The school mascot is Hurricanes and the principal is Laura Treviño.
