Administration
Mrs. Aramburo serves the students at Dora Romero Elementary as Assistant Principal. She has been part of the Los Fresnos CISD family since 2000. During her career in public education that began in 1997, she has served as a 4th grade teacher, Instructional Officer and Assistant Principal at Dora Romero Elementary since 2017. Mrs. Aramburo received her Bachelor of Arts degree and Master of Education degree from University of Texas at Brownsville.
Mrs. Dunkin-Ibarra serves the students of Dora Romero Elementary as the Instructional Officer. She has been part of the Los Fresnos CISD family since 2009. Mrs. Dunkin-Ibarra has served as a Paraprofessional, First Grade Teacher, Fifth Grade Teacher, and most recently, Science Lab Teacher.
In addition to her classroom experience, she has supported students and staff through numerous leadership roles, including Chess Coach, Campus Webmaster, Robotics Coach, District Robotics Coordinator, Lead Teacher, Afterschool Lead Teacher, and as a participant in the Aspiring Assistant Principal Cohort.
Mrs. Dunkin-Ibarra earned her Bachelor of Interdisciplinary Studies from The University of Texas at Brownsville, her Master’s Degree in Curriculum and Instruction with an emphasis in Math and Science from The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley (UTRGV), and her Principal Certification from Lamar University.
